Lucienne’s work centres around a core of performance and video. Most of her work is influenced by her love of and interest in popular culture and reflects the slippages between fantasy and reality in everyday life.
Recent projects include ‘Hi Fidelity Hi’ a performance based on interviews with record collectors; ‘Sha La La’ a song made up of cliched lines from 60’s girl group songs and ‘Ikebukuro a Go-Go’, a project which took place in Tokyo where the artist instructed the public in 60’s dance crazes.
